Rohit Shetty to kick-start the final schedule of Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus from December 1
Fresh off the humongous success of his latest film Sooryavanshi (2021), filmmaker Rohit Shetty is now gearing up to resume production on his next directorial venture Cirkus. The upcoming film, which is said to be an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic play The Comedy of Errors, stars Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.
According to reports, the entire team of Cirkus is set to fly off to Ooty to film the final schedule of the hugely anticipated comic-caper. “Rohit had locked Ooty as one of the shoot locations a long time back, but due to the pandemic restrictions, the schedules were sent into a tizzy. However, with things returning to normal finally, the entire crew are pretty kicked about the final schedule of Cirkus”, a source close to the development informs a publication.
The source goes on to add that Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and the entire unit will kick-off the final schedule from December 1. Locations, where the film will be shot in the hill station, have already been finalized. The pending portion includes some pivotal outdoor sequences that will require the entire cast.
Cirkus is jointly produced by T-Series Films, Reliance Entertainment, and Rohit Shetty Picturez. As of now, the makers have not announced the official release date of the film. However, Shetty had earlier said that he was looking to release the film around Diwali 2022. With the filming facing delay due to the pandemic, it will be interesting to see if the team sticks to the Diwali 2022 release or a new release date will be finalised.
