Safed Teaser: Sandeep Singh's Highly Anticipated Directorial Debut Featuring Meera Chopra And Abhay Verma! (Watch Video)

Sandeep Singh's first movie as a director is called 'Safed.' Abhay Verma plays the character Chaandi in the movie, and Meera Chopra plays the character Kaali. A transgender person and a widow have an unusual love story that drives the plot. This new and unusual look at love is meant to break social rules and question ideas people already have about relationships.

The first look at the movie was shown to the world for the first time at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2022. This was done by the famous music composer AR Rahman. Now, the creators have given the audience a peek that makes them want to see the movie even more.

'Safed' is only 70 minutes long, but it packs an emotional punch in that short amount of time. A group of talented actors, including Barkha Bisht, Jameel Khan, and Chhaya Kadam, also play important parts in the movie.

Abhay Verma, who played Chaandi, had been a model and actress with a 'chocolate boy' image before he took on the role of Chaandi. He was nervous at first about playing the part of a transgender person, but director Sandeep's faith in him gave him more confidence. Abhay's commitment to the part caused him to go through deep emotional changes that lasted long after filming was done.

Meera Chopra, who plays the widow Kaali, was very moved by what Sandeep wrote for the plot. Even though she wasn't sure at first, Meera found comfort in Sandeep's direction and did a good job showing how hard it is to be a widow in the movie. She is glad that this important and interesting job was given to her.
