Sai Pallavi is one of India's naturally gifted actresses. In recent films such as 'Shyam Singh Roy' and Gautham Ramachandran's 'Gargi', she has given some of the most poignant performances as a mainstream heroine. Her performance was widely lauded, and she has since received numerous approaches from directors. One of Tamil and Telugu cinema's modern stars, Sai Pallavi, is rumoured to be making her Bollywood debut with Mantena's ambitious extravagant 'Ramayan'. According to the latest news, Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita in the film, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who will play Ram.
Deepika Padukone to play Draupadi?
Previously, the producers were in talks with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone to play Sita. Yet she will reportedly portray Draupadi for the same production house, as apparently, none of Bollywood's other A-list actresses have the old-world charm and grace to play Sita Mata.
While details are still being worked out, it is widely reported in Hyderabad that the Ramayan producers want Sai to play Sita. Ranbir Kapoor has already been tapped to play Rama. Hrithik Roshan, who was supposed to play Ravana, has backed out.

Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is reportedly working on a project with Malayalam star Nivin Pauly. This also marks their second collaboration after their previous hit ‘Premam’. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor’s film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkkaar’ starring Shraddha Kapoor has hit the theatres worldwide today.
