Salaam Venky TRAILER: A heart-touching tale of a mother fighting for the happiness of her son

The most recent time Kajol was on screen was in the Netflix movie Tribhanga with Mithila Palkar and Tanvi Azmi. Her performance was widely acclaimed in the film and now she is set to do it again in her next film Salaam Venky where she will be playing a mother once again. Earlier, the actress dropped an intriguing poster to announce the film and left everyone excited about what the story might be. Today the trailer for the same was unveiled by the makers giving us a glimpse of the storyline and it has got all of us emotional.

Kajol is portrayed as a mother in the Salaam Venky teaser, and Vishal Jethwa plays Venkatesh, also known as Venky, and the two actors have a strong bond. While Venky's health is rapidly declining, he, like his mother, is ready to battle for every minute of joy. As Kajol sets out to make her son's life special, there are both happy and sad moments in the trailer. The trailer also includes a cameo from Aamir Khan.

The actress spoke in an interview and expressed her thoughts on doing the film saying, “I consider myself really lucky to be playing Sujata in Salaam Venky and working with Revathy as the director. Since the first day I learned about the movie's concept, it has struck my heart too much, and I have known that I must be a part of this great tale.”

About the film

Suraj Singh and Shraddha Agrawal, respectively, under the auspices of Blive Productions and RTake Studios, produced it. Vishal Jethwa, Rahul Bose, Aahana Kumra, and Rajeev Khandelwal in addition to Kajol also play significant roles. The movie, which Revathy is directing, will release in theatres on December 9.
