Salman Khan roped in for a special cameo in Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial Ved
After working in the film industry as an actor for more than 2 decades, Riteish Deshmukh is all set to don a director’s hat. He is set to make his directorial debut with the Marathi film Ved. Riteish’s wife, Genelia D’Souza will play the main lead in the film and the project will also mark her acting debut in Marathi cinema as well as her return to showbiz. As per recent reports, Riteish’s industry pal Salman Khan will have a special cameo in the film.
According to reports, Salman Khan will shoot a song for Ved. The actor is presently filming Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in Hyderabad, but will shortly return to Mumbai to shoot for this song.
A source close to the development reported, "Riteish had been in talks with Salman for a while now and the song will finally be shot in Mumbai over June 25th and 26th. Salman is currently in Hyderabad shooting for Bhaijaan featuring Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, along with Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and others."
Speaking of the project, Deshmukh previously stated in an interview, “After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I take a big leap to stand behind it for the first time. As I direct my first Marathi film, I humbly ask you all for your good wishes and blessings. Be a part of this journey, be a part of this madness.”
Ved is slated to release on August 12, 2022.
