Known for helming such real-life based films as No One Killed Jessica (2011) and Raid (2018), filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta had been planning to roll a film based on the life of actor-turned-RAW agent Ravinder Kaushik, also known as The Black Tiger, for several years now. He had even secured the rights to make a film on Kaushik from his family.
In 2021, reports emerged that Salman Khan was in talks to star in the high-profile project. However, if fresh reports are to be believed, Khan and Gupta have decided to shelve the project. Yes, you read that absolutely right!
Khan's sister Alvira Agnihotri and his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri were onboard to bankroll the project. The superstar was set to commence filming for the same after wrapping Sajid Nadiadwala's Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. But now, the project is not happening anymore as Gupta had the rights for five years only which has now expired.
Not only that, even Khan has been apprehensive about the project considering he is already playing a character called Tiger in Yash Raj Film's Tiger franchise, the third installment of which hits screens next year.
