Sector 36, the forthcoming film by producer Dinesh Vijan, will star ace actors Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal. Based on genuine events, the crime thriller started rolling today. Vikrant shared the announcement video with his fans and followers on Instagram.
Sharing the announcement video on his Instagram handle, the Mirzapur (2018) actor wrote, “Dinesh Vijan presents #Sector36, a crime-thriller inspired by true events. Starring yours truly & the incredible deepakdobriyal1. Produced by #DineshVijan, directed by nimbalkaraditya & written by bodhyroyy. FILMING BEGINS TODAY maddockfilms (sic).”
According to reports in the media, the film is based on the terrible killings that occurred in Noida's Nithari village. The film is a dark crime thriller directed by Talvar writer Aditya Nimbalkar and written by Bodhayan Roychaudhury.
Other upcoming projects under Maddock Films include Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, and the yet-untitled Laxman Utekar film, starring Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal, among others.
Vikrant Massey, who will next be seen in the Radhika Apte-starrer Forensic, is set to work with Deepak Dobriyal for the first time. The actor is well-known for roles in films such as Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), Delhi-6 (2009), Angrezi Medium (2020), and others. Sector 36's producer has previously produced hit films such as Badlapur (2015) and Stree (2018).
