According to sources, the Meer Foundation gave the family of Anjali, who died in a terrible hit-and-run in Delhi's Kanjhawala on New Year's night, an undisclosed sum.

The Meer foundation seeks to assist the family, particularly the mother with her health issues while providing sufficient relief to her siblings. She was the sole provider of income for the family, which included her mother and siblings.

THE INCIDENT

Anjali, a 20-year-old woman, was killed in the horrifying incident in the early hours of the New Year after being struck by a car while riding a scooter and being dragged under the car for more than 12 kilometres on the city's highways.

DELHI POLICE STATEMENT

The Delhi Police currently have seven of the case's suspects in their care.

"Ashutosh, the sixth defendant in the Sultanpuri case, was detained after providing the police with false information. Additional research is being done, "Sagar Preet Hooda, the Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) for the Delhi Police, stated on Friday.

THE 5 ACCUSED

Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj Mittal, the other five defendants in the case, have already been taken into custody. The five were operating the Ashutosh-loaned vehicle.On Thursday night, all of the suspects were brought to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for a physical. According to the police, they were taken at night as a safety measure.
