Shekhar Suman discusses his son Adhyayan's broken relationship with Kangana Ranaut. He acknowledges that it wasn't her fault either, and he thinks that their relationship was ruined by a lot of mistrust and friend involvement. Even Shekhar Suman stated that he knew exactly what was wrong with their relationship, but he never intervened and let his son handle it the way a man should. In a recent interview, Shekhar Suman claimed that he never discussed their conflict with Kangana and that he simply encouraged his son to stand up for what is right.

Shekhar even wished that they should end their relationship, "I am never against any relationship. I was not against his relationship with Kangana. I think it’s a phase in life; sometimes you succeed in your first relationship, and sometimes you fail. Nobody wants to fail in their first relationship. But society loves drama.” The connection between Kangana and Adhyayan would have been desired to terminate. Even your pals may not always want you to be happy. Even when asked about whose fault he thought the rupture in their relationship was, Shekhar brought it up.
He further added, "It was not Kangana’s fault. It was the fault of circumstances because some things happened that were not meant to be. It should always end on a good note. Also, if, by mistake, Adhyayan said anything that he shouldn’t have, he apologised. He doesn’t have any anger for anybody."
