Raju Punjabi, who hails from Haryana was widely known for his songs Aancha Laga Le, Desi Desi, Mithi Boli, Dewar Ladla and Last Peg passed away earlier this morning. The 40-year-old singer was undergoing treatment for jaundice in a private hospital in Hissar, Haryana.
Few days back, there were reports that the singer’s health is improving and has been discharged from the hospital. But suddenly, his health to a turn for the worse and was rushed to the hospital again but unfortunately, could not make it.
The news of his demise was announced by singer KD Desi Rock. He posted a picture of Raju from the hospital and captioned it, ‘Raju, please come back.’
After the news broke out, Raju’s fans were left shocked and deeply saddened with this heart-breaking news. His fans expressed their grief on twitter.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar took to Twitter to express his grief saying Raju Punjabi's death is an "irreparable loss" to the music industry in Haryana.
Raju released his last song Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha on August 12. He also collaborated with Sapna Choudhary, who later rose to fame after Bigg Boss 11.
