Raveena Tandon recently spoke extensively with Lehren about her acting career and her tough relationship with the media in the 1990s. The famous actress said that the media cruelly body-shamed her and called her names.

According to Raveena Tandon, many notable journalists, particularly women, were completely 'nasty' to her in the 1990s. The ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ actress stated that she was body-shamed, slut-shamed, and called names by the film industry's editors, who had their own 'camps' at the time.

"Some of today's female editors use the feminist card. But I remember how mean they were back then. These are the people that slut-shamed, body shamed, and insulted me. I was called Amazonian, Thunder Thighs, and Miss Arrogant," Raveena Tandon remembered in an interview with Lehren.

Raveena also discussed her problematic connection with the media in the 1990s during her interview. According to the ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ actress, the media was 'awful' at the time, with 'yellow journalism' at its peak. "They lacked morals, scruples, and integrity." Fortunately, social media allows you to present your point to your fans straight instantly. "Your statement is important today," the actress remarked.

"Earlier, we were at the mercy of the editors, who had their own camps with whom they were close to. They would write only good things about them, not even waiting to find out the truth. Even if they had to issue an apology, it would be a very small line, very obscure on the inside pages," she further added.
