Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman for India, was taken to the hospital following a collision on National Highway 58 involving the vehicle he was travelling in to Roorkee. Though he suffered a few wounds, Pant, the car's driver, is reportedly no longer in danger.
In the early hours of Friday, December 30, the collision took place between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar neighbourhood. Pant had his initial care at a medical facility in Roorkee, per ANI, before being transported to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

According to Dr. Ashish Yagnik of Max Hospital, Pant's condition is stable and he is being watched."Cricketer Rishabh Pant is under the observation of Orthopedics & plastic surgeons. His condition is stable. His detailed medical bulletin will be released once he's examined. Thereafter, we'll take the next steps."

Jay Shah, the Secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India tweeted, “My thoughts and prayers are with Rishabh Pant as he fights his way back to recovery. I have spoken to his family and the doctors treating him. Rishabh is stable and undergoing scans. We are closely monitoring his progress and will provide him with all the necessary support.”

The Test series against Bangladesh was where the 25-year-old Pant last played. In India's triumph in Mirpur, he scored 93. He was supposed to report to the NCA for strength and conditioning treatment prior to the Test series against Australia that was set to start on February 9, but he was not included in the squads for the white-ball series against Sri Lanka.
