On actor, Satish Kaushik's 67th birthday, several of his friends gathered under one roof to pay tribute to him. Anupam Kher held a special musical event to commemorate Kaushik's life. Among those who remembered him were veteran writers Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, and Anil Kapoor.

Shabana became tearful, but she shared some of the most amusing memories with Kaushik since that is how he would wish to be remembered. During the celebration, Azmi stated, "Once, he walked out of a nursing home with his X-rays in his hand."

That's when Shyam Benegal called him, having heard from someone that Satish Kaushik is a terrific actor. He urged Satish to bring some of his photos and come to his residence. Satish looked at the X-rays and said, "Shyam babu, main X-ray bhej dunga, kyunki andar se main bohot khoobsurat hoon." (I'll also reveal my X-rays because I'm stunning on the inside.)

The actress also mentioned Kaushik's bond with his daughter Vanshika. "Satish adored his daughter," she explained. I was in Budapest and I got a call from him, he was crying and he said, 'I have got Covid and Vanshika has also had Covid. They won't let us stay together, and what will the little child do if she is quarantined? So, do something because I will die if they separate me from my daughter."

At the event, singers such as Shankar Mahadevan, Udit Narayan, Sadhna Sargam, and Papon performed and dedicated songs to Satish Kaushik. Rani Mukerji and Subhash Ghai were among those who attended the occasion.

Satish Kaushik, a professional actor, director, and writer, passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving behind a legacy of magnificent films that will live on in perpetuity. Satish Kaushik gained to prominence in roles like Calendar ('Mr. India') and Pappu Pager ('Deewana Masana,' among others. He died in Gurugram on March 8, 2008, of a massive heart attack. Anupam Kher was the first to break the news of Satish Kaushik's untimely death.
