Siddharth Pithani, Sushant Singh Rajput's flatmate, granted bail in drugs case
Siddharth Pithani, who was detained in a narcotics case connected to the demise of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

The former flatmate of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Siddharth Pithani, who was detained in a drugs case connected to the actor's death, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Monday.
Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput's ex-girlfriend who is now on bail, is also charged in the case. Pithani was granted bail by Justice Bharati Dangre's single bench in exchange for a 50,000 rupee bond.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained Pithani in Hyderabad in May 2021. He is currently being held by authorities.
In his plea, he stated that he had never been caught with any drugs in his hands and that nothing had been found on him that may have suggested he was involved in drug trafficking.
In June 2020, Rajput allegedly committed suicide in his Mumbai residence. Later, the NCB launched an investigation into an alleged drug supply network in the film industry based on several WhatsApp chats.
Rhea Chakraborty was among the individuals detained by the NCB. Many of them are currently out on bail.
He had been arrested on several counts, including violating section 27 (A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (funding illicit commerce and housing offenders). Pithani had applied for bail, claiming that he had been falsely accused.
