As per reports, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was detained by officials at Mumbai's International Airport last night, owing to some expensive wrist watches that were found in his luggage.
After the discovery, SRK had to pay Rs. 6.83 lakh as custom duty for the same. It was only after he paid the penalty that he was allowed to leave the airport premises.
The 'Veer Zaara' actor was returning after attending an event in UAE's Sharjah and had landed at Terminal number 3 of Mumbai International Airport on a private jet.
From what we hear, the expensive watches were found in the baggage when SRK and his team were on their way out of the terminal.
Reports also suggest that the price of the luxury watches is around 18 lakh!
Noteworthy, SRK graced the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 on Thursday. During the event, he was honoured with the 'Global Icon Of Cinema and Cultural Narrative Award' for his immense contribution to the realm of international cinema and culture.
On work front, the Khan will next star in Yash Raj productions 'Pathaan', co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023.
SRK will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' which also features Taapsee Pannu. Besides, he has also committed to feature in filmmaker Atlee's upcoming directorial 'Jawan', alongside south actress Nayanthara.
