Having a wonderful working relationship, Sunny Deol and Suneel Darshan collaborated on movies like Inteqam (1988), Lootere (1993), and Ajay (1995). (1996). After the filming of "Ajay," everything deteriorated, and the two have been involved in a court dispute for more than 25 years.
Suneel Darshan claimed that Sunny left the movie unfinished and refused to shoot the climax during the movie's theatrical run. He insisted that he was forced to publish the film without a satisfying conclusion. The two then engaged in legal conflict.
Suneel Darshan On Sunny Deol's Legal Battle
Suneel has now spoken out about the conflict once more. Suneel said that Sunny Deol "fooled" him in an interview.
“Sunny Deol possessed a huge ego. My legal battle with him is still pending 26 years later. He first pledged to repay the funds. Then he claimed he didn't have any money, so we had to make a movie together. This matter was brought before Justice Bharucha, a retired Chief Justice of India. Sunny claimed that he would make a movie for me because he didn't have the money to return my money. I made three movies back-to-back with Bobby Deol, who is his brother, while we were both working together. I held no resentment for him. Additionally, the filmmaker claimed that Sunny repeatedly changed the dates until the time frame specified in their contract had elapsed. The filmmaker's legal team then sent a warning to the actor, but Sunny's team responded claiming the actor had not approved the dialogue for the movie.
“I wasn't intending to gain his approval for the dialogue. Has any performer ever had their lines approved? It hurt to realise that the purpose was incorrect. Both money and time were invested heavily. He then led me on a protracted wild goose hunt, which is still going. You are familiar with the law.” Suneel further said.
