Suriya's critically praised film Soorarai Pottru (2020) is being adapted in Hindi, with Suriya serving as producer and Sudha Kongara as the helmer. Now, the actor-producer has shared a picture of himself with Akshay Kumar to welcome him to the Hindi adaptation. Suriya is seen with a wide bright smile as he embarks on a new journey with his debut Hindi film.
Suriya revealed the Hindi version of Soorarai Pottru, which would star Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, on Twitter. Suriya's debut as a Hindi producer will be marked by this film, which he will finance through his production company 2D Entertainments. Suriya, along with the rest of the cast and crew, was present at the launch ceremony in Mumbai. He also asked for blessings from his supporters as he embarked on a new path by posting a new photo on social media.
“A new begining… need all your love and blessings!!,” he tweeted as he shared pictures with Akshay Kumar.
Sudha Kongara, who directed Soorarai Pottru, will also direct the Hindi adaptation. Captain GR Gopinath's amazing entrepreneurial path, in which he democratized air travel by creating low-cost airline services, inspired her to write the film.
Due to the pandemic, the film was released directly on Amazon Prime Video in 2020. The film received overwhelmingly good reviews from critics and audiences alike. The Hindi remake, on the other hand, will be released in theaters.
