Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, known for roles in ‘Pink’, ‘Blurr’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’, and other movies, has been accused of offending religious emotions after wearing a necklace with a sculpture of Goddess Lakshmi and revealing attire, claims the complainant.

The ‘Manmarziyaan’ actress posted a photo and a video from the Lakme Fashion Week runway walk on March 12 in Mumbai on March 14. Pannu is accused of offending religious sentiments and disseminating obscenity by the religious group Hind Rakshak Sangathan.

Actress Taapsee Pannu is the target of a complaint alleging that she offended religious sensitivities. Eklavya Singh Gaur, who had previously complained about Munawar Faruqui for his Indore show, filed it. By donning a "revealing dress" and a neckpiece with Goddess Laxmi on it, the actress allegedly offended religious sensibilities.

Taapsee Pannu is the subject of a complaint that has been made to the ChhatriPura Police Station. The complaint is filed by Eklavya Gaur. The SHO of the Police station told ANI, “We received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur (son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur) against actor Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of ‘Sanatan Dharma’ by wearing a locket having ‘Goddess Laxmi’ with revealing dress during ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week held on March 12 in Mumbai.” According to ANI, Gaur mentioned in the complaint that it was a deliberate attempt to denigrate Sanatan Dharma.
