Her latest outing, 'Tejas', a Bollywood film centered around patriotism and featuring Kangana as an air force officer, didn't fare well either, leading to a disappointing start at the box office. Despite blaming the 'movie mafia' previously, this time she attributes the lackluster performance to the 'post-COVID effect', expressing concerns about the dwindling footfalls in theatres.
Kangana reaches out to her fan base through a video, urging them to support cinema by watching movies in theatres, underlining the threat faced by the survival of these spaces.

Interestingly, recent Bollywood releases like 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', 'Jawan', and 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' have thrived, indicating a resurgence of the industry post the pandemic. 'Tejas', directed by Sarvesh Mewara, hit the screens on October 27.
