The Archies: Zoya Akhtar wraps up the Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda starrer
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has finally finished the Ooty schedule for her upcoming, much hyped Netflix film, The Archies. Suhana Khan, the daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, make their acting debuts in the live-action musical. With the project, megastar Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda will also be making his debut in the film industry.
The schedule wrap was announced on Instagram by Zoya, who is also producing the film with Reema Kagti under their Tiger Baby banner. Sharing a picture of a neon sign with the word ‘wrap,’ Akhtar wrote the caption, “It’s A Sign #schedulewrap #thankyouooty.”
The coming-of-age drama will introduce the Riverdale teenage characters to a new audience in India. Suhana Khan plays Veronica, Agastya Nanda plays Archie whereas Khushi Kapoor plays Betty in the film, which will have an OTT release. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda play crucial roles in the film, which is set to be released in 2023.
On April 18, The Archies went on floors. On May 14, the movie's first teaser was released. The first-look poster for The Archies was released by Netflix India's official social media accounts.
