Aditya Dhar's most challenging undertaking is ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. And when he's making the movie, he doesn't want to skip a beat. The movie, which was intended to star Ranveer Singh after Vicky Kaushal walked out, has once again been delayed, according to the most recent information. The casting was not confirmed, despite the emergence of names like Shah Rukh Khan, Jr. NTR, and KGF star Yash. The movie has now been postponed again owing to financial difficulties. According to the reports, Jio Studios rejected the funding that the director requested for ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. Aditya is rumoured to desire to make this movie on a huge scale, but that would take a huge budget.
The Studios believed that for the time being, investing such a huge sum of money was risky due to the market's unpredictability. According to a source in the entertainment news outlet, the Studio might close its doors as well if things go bad following the release of such a big-budget film. Aditya came to the same conclusion and placed the movie on hold. Additionally, he released the crew members who were engaged in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama's’ pre-production work.

As per reports, The Jio Studios decided to put the film on hold for the time being because they didn't think it could recover from being so ambitious. ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama's’ pre-production work took around three years, and the film has already incurred significant financial costs. The investors were willing to incur a 30 crore rupee loss rather than spending between 300 and 350 crores on the project.
