Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many films were delayed, and as a result, when things are finally opening, there are big clashes between big budget movies every month. Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming film, The Kashmir Files, was initially scheduled for January 21, where it was going to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj. But the film was pushed forward and now it will release on March 11, and clash with Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam.
Talking about the clashes with big movies, Vivek Agnihotri said, “I am not scared of any film. This is not a project. It's a mission for us. Last time, I was supposed to release it with Prithviraj. We even toyed with the idea of clashing the Kashmir Files with RRR on March 25. I am aware that Radhe Shyam is a hyped-up film, and we are coming with that film as the audience for our movie is absolutely different. I am sure that, slowly, The Kashmir Files will grow. And, in any case, kabhi toh film ko theatre mein aana hi hai na. Last time, I released my film, the Tashkent Files, six days before Kalank (2019) and (we all know how it worked out big time).”
The Kashmir Files is a political drama directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, and Pallavi Joshi.
