The Kerala Story: After Backlash, The Producers Changed The Narrative From 32,000 Missing Women To 3

The Kerala Story's producers revised the content of the film's introduction in its most recent YouTube teasers on Tuesday amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the impending movie.

The text formerly stated that some 32,000 women from Kerala are believed to have vanished. The revised version now claims that three women were converted and dispatched on terror operations in India and overseas after being brainwashed.

The Adah Sharma-starring movie, set to be released on May 5th, sparked a significant uproar when it claimed that 32,000 women had left the state.

The Kerala Story's teaser was released, and the UDF and the CPI(M)-led Left immediately urged that it not be aired.

The leader of the opposition, V.D. Satheesan, asserted that their position has been made clear and that, in the interest of freedom of expression, they will not permit anyone to propagate false information. They have also already requested that the movie be banned.

The Kerala High Court received a plea on Tuesday requesting a halt to the showing of 'The Kerala Story.'

A few organisations announced monetary awards to support their claims. A reward of Rs 1 crore has been offered by the Kerala State Committee of the Muslim Youth League for anyone who can corroborate the "allegations" made in the film. Pratheesh Viswanath, a right-wing activist and the founder of the Hindu Seva Kendra, has made an additional Rs 10 crore offer to demonstrate the opposite, that no one from Kerala has joined ISIS in Syria.

Sudipto Sen is the director of 'The Kerala Story.' It follows the ascent of four Keralan college women who join the Islamic State.

Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani are also featured in the movie. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah is overseeing it.
