Today marks the 20th anniversary of Ajay Devgn's The Legend Of Bhagat Singh (2002). The actor took to his Instagram handle and expressed his gratitude for being a part of the film.
The film, which stars Devgn in the lead role, follows revolutionary Bhagat Singh as he fights the British and sacrifices his life for the country.
The film, directed by renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, received positive reviews upon its release, with Devgn receiving praise for his performance as the titular freedom fighter with Sushant Singh and D Santosh, who played fellow rebels Sukhdev and Rajguru, respectively.
Interestingly, The Legend of Bhagat Singh released on June 7, 2002, the same day as another film on the freedom fighter, 23rd March 1931: Shaheed, starring Bobby Deol was released. Kumar and Ramesh Taurani produced The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, which also starred Akhilendra Mishra, Raj Babbar, Farida Jalal, and Amrita Rao in significant roles.
