“A contemporary, independent, single woman's perspective on society is reflected in The Tenant, which includes experiences and lessons that every woman in India has had to learn at some point in her life. I immediately agreed to do the film because of the captivating backdrop and the delicate and realistic plot of the movie. I have no doubt that the story would have a profound impact on every woman and those around her, giving readers a clearer understanding of the disturbing, pervasive reality of the society we currently live in.”
