‘This is not an arrogant statement,’ says Shah Rukh Khan of his confidence that Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki will be huge hits

One of the most adored actors in Bollywood is Shah Rukh Khan. With the release of his upcoming film Pathaan, he will make his big-screen comeback. He most recently appeared in the box office flop of 2018 called Zero. The actor most recently visited Sharjah for the Expo Center's 41st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022, when he was presented with the event's Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award.

During the event, Shah Rukh Khan was questioned about his belief that his next three movies will be box office smashes. He remarked, "People assume I'm arrogant if I respond honestly. I don't believe I should be anxious. All of them (the movies) are going to be huge successes. I would like to clarify why this comment doesn't seem arrogant; that's the belief I go to bed with and wake up with. That conviction drives me to perform stunts, leap, and work 18 hours a day at age 57. Because if I did not have the conviction that, in the end, I am working to create a fantastic product that many people will like, I would not be able to do it.”

"This is not an arrogant comment; it's just what I think as I sit there," he continued. I don't feel anxious.

I think these movies are fantastic. It's a naive belief to think, "I've done my best; now prepare my best." I will succeed with flying colors. Many of us experienced it, including me, when I was a small child. I can still clearly recall acing my math test. I performed admirably, earning a score of 3 out of 100. But I believe I performed admirably. The same thing occasionally occurs with movies. I make a Zero; nevertheless, sometimes, what I work for and put forth becomes Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Shah Rukh will next be featured in Deepika Padukone and John Abraham's action-thriller Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, which is scheduled to release in theaters on January 25, 2023. In addition, he will star opposite Nayanthara in Atlee's forthcoming action thriller Jawan. On June 2, 2023, the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres. Shah Rukh will appear in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu.
