In a 2015 interview from 'Tamasha' trailer event, Neetu said that she loved the Tamasha trailer and was looking forward to its release. She called the film a "beautiful, sensitive love story" and said that the chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika was "amazing." She also complimented Deepika on her evolution into an "amazing actress."
When asked about her favorite Bollywood jodi, Neetu said that she thought Rishi and Neetu were the best all-time ever pair on screen.
Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir's father, had also spoken about Deepika in the past. In an old interview, he said that he did not mind Deepika or Katrina Kaif as their ghar ki bahu (daughter-in-law). He said that it was up to Ranbir who he wanted to marry and that they would be happy to have whoever he wanted as a daughter-in-law.
