Urvashi Rautela is overjoyed after being praised by Leonardo DiCaprio at Cannes 2022
Urvashi Rautela's recent presence at the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival was glamorous and elegant. The actress wore some breathtaking red carpet looks that quickly became a favourite on our Instagram feeds. Her exquisite red carpet appearances were admired not only by us but also by Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Urvashi mentioned in a recent interview that Leonardo congratulated her after one of her performances at Cannes. Speaking to a news portal, Urvashi said, “I was freaking out and falling short of words after receiving compliments from Leonardo DiCaprio. I was so emotional and could feel happy tears in my eyes.” The actress added that at the same time she was blushing as well.
She mentioned that seeing Leonardo praising her work made her pinch herself. “Did that really happen last night? Was I dreaming about the sweet moment?” This incident revealed to Urvashi that even the younger actors want to be seen. She stated that young actors want to be encouraged and keep moving. “That’s my memory of meeting him," she added.
Urvashi sported an all-black strapless gown on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. The gown was designed by Ali Younes and featured lovely ruffles all around the bodice. The actress wore her hair in a tidy bun with a centre part and added a diamond choker and emerald drop earrings to complete her ensemble.
On the work front, Urvashi is starring alongside Michele Morrone from 365 Days in a film produced by Netflix, Tomasz Mandes, and directed by Barbara Bialowas, who also helmed 365 Days. Urvashi will soon be seen in Jio Studios' Inspector Avinash, in which she will star alongside Randeep Hooda in the lead role.
