Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra stand up for Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot
Ranveer Singh has an FIR filed against him due to his recent nude photoshoot. His friends and fellow actors Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra have come forward in his support.

Unfortunately, Ranveer Singh has become a national issue. His recent social media post from a shoot with Paper magazine has landed him in serious trouble. A lawyer filed an FIR against the actor for allegedly ‘hurting women's sentiments'. The actor posed in the nude for the shoot and that has not sat right with some citizens. Recently, actors Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra came to Ranveer’s defence and shared their take on the photo shoot.
Parineeti Chopra was last seen on a Mexican trip where she celebrated Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s birthday bash. She and Ranveer go way back. The two worked together in the hit film ‘Ladies VS Ricky Bahl’ and share a good bond. The actor shared her thoughts on her friend’s nude shoot. Speaking to a news portal she said, "Ranveer’s been a true creative artiste since the day I’ve known him, which was even before he became an actor. He is a free-flowing creator, and nothing holds him back, which is the best quality an artiste can have. I can think of no other actor who could do this shoot. And when you’re the only one who can do something, what higher compliment could there be?"
‘Befikre’ co-star Vaani Kapoor shared her opinion on the bold shoot. The actor has just released the much-anticipated film ‘Shamshera’ and has spoken to a news portal to stand up for Ranveer saying "Ranveer’s an artiste and a great one at that. He’s experimental and open with the right aesthetics and sensibilities."
Prior to this, personalities like Swara Bhasker, Alia Bhatt, Nakuul Mehta, and Ram Gopal Varma spoke up about the matter. Alia Bhatt in particular gave a bold reply saying Ranveer is her favourite! And she can not stand to be asked about him in such a manner. She even urged people to see what great films he has offered and that people should show him some love.
As for Ranveer Singh himself, the actor has not released any statement on the matter. The star had shared the images from the shoot on his Instagram handle where he received praises from his contemporaries. Does this matter deserve such attention? Are citizens abusing the power to file FIRs?
