Varun Dhawan set to join forces with master storyteller Rajkumar Hirani
Last seen in Coolie No. 1 (2020), Varun Dhawan has a few exciting projects in the pipeline, including Dharma Productions’ Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Maddock Films’ Bhediya. While these two films are already at various stages of development, the actor is also set to reunite with acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan for a biographical drama, titled Ekkis.
The latest we hear is that Varun Dhawan is about to add a few more interesting projects to his line-up soon and one of them will be a film with master storyteller Rajkumar Hirani. Yes, you read that absolutely right.
Sharing more details, a source in the know informs a publication that Dhawan has done multiple meetings with Rajkumar over the last few months and both have shown keen interest in the collaboration.
The source goes on to add that it is a typical slice-of-life-film based on a true story written by Rajkumar Hirani himself and will go on floors next year. The film will mark the directorial debut of one of Rajkumar Hirani’s chief assistant directors and everyone is very charged up about the project in question.
It is to be noted here that the Badlapur (2015) actor has not signed the film on the dotted line as yet. Having said that, the paperwork is expected to be set in motion by early next year. More details are highly awaited.
