Vijay Deverakonda reveals why he chooses to wear chappals while promoting Liger
The film Liger, starring Bollywood's stunning actress Ananya Panday and Tollywood hunk Vijay Deverakonda, is currently making news for all the right reasons. Liger's makers are likewise doing everything necessary to prep for its impending release.
As Liger's cast and crew tour India to promote the film, it has already garnered a massive response from every corner of the nation.
Vijay Deverakonda's appearance at these promotional events wearing chappals drew the attention of the online world and quickly became a hot topic. As is well known, the Arjun Reddy actor wore slippers to the Mumbai premiere of the Liger trailer as well as to some of the film's promotional events.
Vijay defied all conventions with this action, breaking his Telugu audience's perception of him as a carefree actor. The real motive for wearing chappals to the Liger promotions was revealed by Vijay Deverakonda during an interview. Deverakonda said, "I know it's a blockbuster (Liger) with Chappals and cross legs...I wear all sorts of things. Jab mood laga kuch bhi phenta hu (I wear whatever I feel like). See, 30 days I have to promote the film and then every day I have to look for shoes and clothes and it will take forever. So, one great chappal I bought and it is making my life easier...So, I just do what I feel like."
Liger is a film co-produced by the Dharma Productions and Puri Connects and is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
