Vishal Bhardwaj is a famous Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, music composer, and playback singer. He is the recipient of many accolades, including eight National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. Vishal Bhardwaj is known for his keen interest in experimenting with themes and formats. His short film, Fursat somewhere, gives an idea in India to sneak peek into the new era of filmmaking where phones can replace gigantic cameras. Filmmakers can have a play area to experiment even more. Many Hollywood films were shot on iPhone, but it is India's first short shot on iPhone. The short film grabbed the audience's attention, and people loved it as it was beautifully captured.

Vishal Bhardwaj's short film, Fursat, is led by actors Ishaan Khatter and Wamiqa Gabbi and based on dance taking narrative ahead. Previously, he worked with Gabbi for Modern Love Mumbai in 2022 and has the forthcoming Khufiya. He was interested in roping Wamiqa Gabbi in for the project. But he was worried because the character needed to be an agile dancer. He said, "I was sure of Wamiqa's acting capabilities. However, knowing she wasn't a trained dancer, I had doubts. I had even discussed [the possibility of] simplifying the choreography."

Vishal Bhardwaj was happy to rope in Wamiqa Gabbi for his short film, Fursat:-

He was surprised when she smoothly picked up to step in. He mentioned, "She impressed us after the first rehearsal itself. That she took on this challenge [shows] her dedication towards the craft." Wamiqa Gabbi feels it's a matter of pride to get roped in three projects of Bhardwaj. She also mentioned that she loved being part of the short film shot on an iPhone. She says, "I am happy to have gotten a chance to try out this format with Vishal, sir. He points out small nuances and details, which make his work a class apart."

He chooses to go to the musical for Fursat and fascinates everyone with his edges. He proved that An iPhone can do this and more with this short film. The short film includes stars Ishaan Khatter, Wamiqa Gabbi, Salman Yusuf Khan, and others. Gulzar Sahab and Shiamak Dawar are also on the side of Vishal Bhardwaj in this short film.
