After admitting to wanting to end Anushka Sharma's career, Karan Johar has been receiving harsh criticism online. Vivek Agnihotri and Apurva Asrani, who directed The Kashmir Files, have harshly criticised the director for his nasty comments and claimed that his husband exists solely to make or break the careers of others. In this video, Anushka sits next to Karan Johar as he claims that he is sabotaging her career by not wanting Aditya Chopra to cast her in the film. Vivek Agnihotri, who has long claimed there is a campaign in Bollywood against foreigners, attacked KJo on Twitter. On Twitter, he posted the clip along with the caption, " Someone’s only hobby is to make or break careers. If Bollywood is in gutter, it’s because of some people’s dirty ‘backroom’ politics against talented outsiders.".
Apurva Asrani, who recently praised Priyanka Chopra for speaking out about being ganged up, and Sushant Singh Rajput both criticised Karan Johar for making offhand comments about someone else's career "'I totally wanted to murder Anushka Sharma's career' - Karan Johar confesses to Rajeev Masand & Anupama Chopra in 2016. Said in jest, I'm sure, but still a worthy point in the raging insider-outsider debate.".
Karan Johar is currently not in a good place, and he should take this as a lesson to stop interfering with other people's careers. Kangana Ranaut has called Karan Johar the movie mafia king because he is so favourable towards the star kids. Karan also apologised to Anushka and said he was ashamed that he might have ruined her exceptional talent while discussing the same video. Perhaps Karan Johar should pause before opening his mouth.
