As 2022 was dull for the entire Bollywood film industry, their focus on scoring it increased with the sequel films. Many films are about to have a sequel in 2023, whether it is Salman Khan starring Tiger 3, OMG 2, or Sunny Deol's Gadar 2; here we will look at the list of the most anticipated Bollywood sequel to look forward to its release in 2023.
1. Gadar 2:- 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' was an Anil Sharma film, starring Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol, and was released in 2001. The film was one of the most successful of that era and roared at the box office. Many dialogues got famous from the movie. After 22 years, this filmmaker has thought of its sequel, and it brought Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel on the screen again. The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role, and the film's first half will be released in 2023.
2. OMG 2:- 'OMG: Oh My God' starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead role has gotten appreciation from the audience; therefore, makers have thought of its sequel. Makers have brought their thoughts into reality with the film's second installment in 2023. It stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Recently while discussing with the media, Akshay revealed the film's sequel would be an authentic effort to imitate a significant public issue. Amit Rai directed the film, and the release date is not announced officially.
3. Tiger 3:- Makers had two successful installments, 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai'; therefore, they are set to have a third installment of the action spy thriller. 'Tiger 3' is certainly the most anticipated film in 2023 and stars Salman khan and Katrina Kaif. There is news about makers also roped in Emraan Hashmi. Emraan Hashmi will play the antagonist role in the film. The film has dropped action sequences. Makers also brought a Korean stunt team to choreograph the action sequences in the movie. Maneesh Sharma directs it, 'Tiger 3', and it will be released in theatres on the occasion of Eid this year.
4. Singham 3:- Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are all set to collaborate for 'Singham 3' as they have got super success with 'Singham' and 'Singham 2'. Ajay Devgn has kick-started his New Year by reading the movie's third installment script. He shared the picture with filmmaker Rohit Shetty while sharing the 'Singham 3' announcement. He added, 'Made a good start to the New Year with # RohitShetty's narration of Singham Again. The script I heard is. God willing, this will be our 11th blockbuster.' The film's other cast and details are unknown yet and will be unveiled soon.
5. Aashiqui 3:- The film is directed by Anurag Basu and stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Kartik Aaryan has recently shared an announcement video of the film on his social media handles. The video featured the song, 'Ab Tere Bin Jee Lenge Hum,' having the voice of Arijit Singh and fans going crazy over the music. Mahesh Bhatt helmed the original film 'Aashiqui' (1990), which featured the most talented actors, Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. Mohit Suri directed the second part in 2013, which starred Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
