Welcome 3: Anil Kapoor’s Demand For 'THIS' Leads Producers To CUT Him Off From The Film?

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome 3’ is one of the most anticipated movies to release in 2024. The comedy series has made tremendous success at the box office and now the producers are looking for the success of the third part. The film is to be titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ with Akshay Kumar in the leading role. However, to all fan’s dismay, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor will not be part of the movie.
The duo won hearts with their respective roles as Uday and Majnu in ‘Welcome’ and ‘Welcome Back.’ However, recent reports suggest that the duo has backed off from the third part due to clashes between them and the producers.
Few news outlets suggest that Anil Kapoor has demanded an exorbitant fee of Rs 18 crore to appear in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Anil reportedly demanded such a high fee as he believed the two parts only became a hit for his character ‘Majnu’ and being sure that the third part is also going to be a blockbuster, the price tag is reasonable.
The report also added, “There can't be ‘Welcome’ without Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. They were first offered the film, but the conversation soon fell through. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala got the shock of his life when Anil Kapoor demanded Rs. 18 crores to act in the film,"
Akshay Kumar reportedly also spoke to Anil Kapoor to lower the amount but the ‘Night Manager’ actor refused to budge. This left Firoz Nadiadwala with no choice but to cut him off the film.
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is expected to be released around Christmas 2024. The film, beside Akshay Kumar, also features Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Krushna Abhishek, Kikoo Sharda, Mika Singh and Daler Mehendi.
