‘Gadar 2’ has been Sunny Deol's biggest triumph to date. His film made a ton of money and is already edging closer to the Rs 500 crore milestone. The sale of his home at a Juhu auction, however, was reported at the same time. However, the bank stopped the auction a day after sending out a notification about it. Now, a renowned director by the name of Sunil Darshan has claimed that Sunny Deol stole nearly two crore rupees from him and never gave it back.

Movies by Sunil Darshan include ‘Janwar,’ ‘Ek Rishta’, and ‘Andaz’. He states that he and Sunny have been debating over the money for 27 years. According to Sunil Darshan, this occurred in 1996 when Sunny Deol borrowed money from him to launch a business. He wanted to release his films globally, and Darshan was happy to assist him. He asserts that Sunny, however, never returned his money. "Even though he bought a lot of things for himself during that time," asserted Darshan.

Sunil remembers the time when Sunny was filming for one of his movies, ‘Ajay’. He asked Darshan if he could obtain international rights for ‘Ajay’ and revealed to him his ambitious aspirations and information about his business. Sunny even vowed to return the money in full to Darshan. According to Darshan, Sunny instructed him to travel to London in order to collect the necessary funds and complete and sign all necessary corporate documentation. "I trusted him and signed," bemoans Darshan.

Even though Sunny Deol's agent came to pick up the movie prints, according to Sunil Darshan, he never gave him the money. He also disclosed Sunny's justification, that London's banks were closed. “I trusted him again and gave him the prints. I asked for the money for months after that, but he kept avoiding me," Darshan claimed.

Sunil Darshan outlined how Sunny Deol even requested funding for a film and pledged to reimburse everyone. Sunil, meanwhile, still didn't receive the money after six months. He attempted to get his money back for almost four years, but Sunny Deol maintained feigning ignorance. Sunny refused to refund the money, and they even took Sunny to court. He adds, "After 27 years, I'm still waiting for my money. I tried talking to him many times, but he doesn't want to give back the money he owes me."
