Kareena Kapoor Khan is an actress who continued to engage in rumours and rivalries from the 1990s into the 2000s. None other than Bipasha Basu had a precise reason. Bips was a beginner to the field having only entered it. Tanya Deol made the decision to help her since she thought of her as an outsider who might be lost in their society.

She assisted Bipasha in choosing her clothes for 'Ajnabee.' Babita Kapoor, the mother of Kareena Kapoor, scolded Tanya for doing this.

The Deol wife returned it to Babita because she didn't understand the outburst. Even Kareena, who had only been in the business for a year, did not appreciate Tanya assisting Bipasha Basu. And I didn’t like that.” She even confirmed that she did not have a problem with Bobby saying, “I don’t deny a problem with Bobby’s wife. But I’m sure my problems with Bobby can be sorted out. There’s no negativity from my end.

In a later episode of 'Koffee with Karan,' even Karan Johar made an effort to delve into Bobby Deol's response to the altercation, in which the actor merely smiled and shown complete ignorance of the circumstances surrounding the incident. Karan, on the other hand, acknowledged that whatever occurred actually did occur.

In spite of Deol's eagerness to participate in the project and his assurances to Imtiaz Ali, Shahid Kapoor unexpectedly took Deol's spot when Kareena joined the cast.
