Janhvi Kapoor has become a household name. Since her debut with Ishaan Khattar in ‘Dhadak’, the actor has come a long way with films like ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ and ‘Ghost Stories’ under her belt. The actor has garnered quite a good fan following. Now she is enjoying the success of her OTT released film ‘Good Luck Jerry’. The actor in a recent interview opened up about working and life after losing her mother Sridevi in 2018.
Late Sridevi was the first female superstar the Hindi film industry ever had. Her movies, dance and fashion have always been iconic. The Padma Shri recipient passed away in 2018. She was married to Boney Kapoor and raised two daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. In a recent interview, Janhvi opened up about how she kept going after the sudden demise of her mother. Janhvi shared how her father and her love for films is the reason she kept going.
During the same conversation, Janhvi shared how she received so much love and support from her family and what she learnt from her mother Sridevi’s film set, "After losing mom, the only thing that's kept me going and my dad going I think, apart from the love and support from family, is our love for films. Honestly, I don't think I'd have the will to go through it if I didn't love what I do so much, in a way that's almost selfish. I love it so much that...It's almost keeping me alive."
Apart from this, on the work front, Janhvi has ‘Bawaal’ lined up for her fans alongside Varun Dhawan. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. She also has Boney Kapoor- produced ‘Mili’ in the works.
