Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has opened up about a difficult phase in his life when he went bankrupt. In a throwback video from 2017, Bachchan revealed that the late Dhirubhai Ambani had offered to help him financially during this time.

Amitabh Bachchan said that his company was struggling and he had massive debts. He had no work and the government had raided his house. It was then that Dhirubhai Ambani had offered to help him.
He said that he was touched by Dhirubhai's generosity, but he turned down the offer. He said that God was kind and he was able to repay his debts after some time.
