Today is the 51st birthday of Bollywood actor R Madhavan. In 2000, he made his acting debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Alaipayuthey. Since then, he has appeared in films such as 3 Idiots (2009), Tanu Weds Manu (2011), and Rang De Basanti (2006), among others.
Madhavan's film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect made its global premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. While the actor is well-known for his roles in both Hindi and Tamil films, he previously admitted that Dhanush made him jealous.
In a 2015 interview, Madhavan was asked about filmmaker Aanand L Rai, with whom he collaborated on the Kangana Ranaut films Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
He said, “Aanand’s expertise lies in the fact that he knows his artists really well. As a director, he has told me things that gave me goosebumps, when I heard them. I am like why could somebody not tell me something like this?"
“I was very jealous of Dhanush when he was doing his next film with Aanand. Because I was going to miss that. I am going to be jealous of any other actor that Aanand works with,” he added.
Meanwhile, Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist, and aerospace engineer, is the subject of R Madhavan's film Rocketry - The Nambi Effect. Simran Bagga will co-star with Madhavan. The film is set to hit theatres in July 2022.
