Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey starred in Netflix's ‘Haseen Dillruba’ in 2021. Called "Pulpy Thriller," the film has received various reviews from both audiences and critics. Crime thrillers starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane also explored desire and unfaithfulness.
Now, according to recent report, there were a lot of talks that a sequel to ‘Haseen Dillruba’ was in the works. A source stated, “There is interest in the film because it broke into the Indian market in a way that no other Hindi movie on Netflix was able to. Its success can be attributed to its story and pulpy treatment. The producers and the streaming giant are pursuing the idea of a sequel. Writer Kanika Dhillon is toying with the idea of picking up the narrative from where the first part ended."
The film followed the story of a completely unlikely couple, Taapsee and Vikrant, who tied a knot after a matchmaking marriage. But things get worse when Taapsee’s character is attracted to her husband's cousin, played byHarshvardhan Rane. ‘Haseen Dillruba’ is reportedly the most-watched Hindi movie on Netflix in 2021.
