World Cancer Day on February 4 upsurges cancer awareness yearly and endorses cancer prevention, detection, and treatment worldwide. Globally Every year, approximately 10 million people die due to cancer. According to the Experts, at least one-third of cancer-related deaths can be prohibited by routine screenings and timely detection and treatment. However, Many Bollywood celebrities have gone through cancer discovery and treatment. They also shared their battles with cancer with their fans. They are inspiring for those who were and are dealing with cancer through sharing their tale. Several Bollywood stars have previously exposed their cancer diagnoses, including Kirron Kher, Sonali Bendre, Tahira Kashyap, Lisa Ray, Sanjay Dutt, Irfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, and Manisha Koirala, among others. 1. Irrfan Khan:-


Actor Irrfan Khan is known for his versatile performance in Bollywood films. He is mostly known for his tremendous [performance in the films like Piku, Haider and The Life of Pi. He shared his experience of his cancer battle with his fans. He battled neuroendocrine cancer- a rare form of cancer. He battled this disease for two years before his death in April 2020. He said, "The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope."

2. Mahima Chaudhry:-


Mahima Chaudhry is known for films like Pardes, Dhadkan and Lajja. She shared the news of her breast cancer diagnosis with her fans through a video by Anupam Kher. The actress broke into tears by sharing that over the past few months she has been offered several roles in films and web shows but couldn't go forward because of her health condition. She was suffering from the early stage of breast cancer when she went ahead with the treatment and stood stronger and overcame it.

3. Sonali Bendre:-


Sonali Bendre starred in several Bollywood blockbusters, including 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' and 'Sarfarosh.' Sonali was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018 and treated for it in New York. She battled the illness and emerged victorious. The actress, on multiple occasions, has shared how her positive approach during the battle facilitated her to overcome the illness.

4. Sanjay Dutt:-


Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020. However, he overcame the fatal disease thanks to prompt medical assistance, as he was scared because of his family's loss due to this fatal disease. He announced his victory over cancer to his fans on his children's 10th birthday.

5. Lisa Ray:-


Indian-Canadian actress Lisa Ray was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare and incurable blood cancer. She underwent four months of chemotherapy before receiving a stem cell transplant. She said about her stem cell transplant, "I was scared, but I had to take a chance. And I survived. It was the best Christmas gift I had ever received, a new birth and sense of being." She recovered from cancer in 2010.
