‘A Thursday’ directed by Behzad Khambata starring Yami Gautam and Neha Dhupia is the most intriguing thriller of recent times. The film definitely lets your nail cutters rest! The critically acclaimed film got positive reviews from the audience as well. The movie also features Karanvir Sharma, Atul Kulkarni, and Dimple Kapadia who marked their presence brilliantly through their performance. Talking about the film A Thursday is a very serious film, portraying the story of playschool teacher Naina (Yami Gautam) who takes as many as 16 kids hostage and demands Rs 50 crore and a meeting with the Prime Minister (Dimple Kapadia).
While being on an interview with a news portal, the actress was asked if her fans should expect a sequel of the film, to which she laughed off, “If only I was the producer of the film.” She also stated, “I remember because I've of course shot the film and I know every day, what every day on that set would look like or feel like. So, no, this was never anything to do with a sequel or something, that conversation was never there,” she said.
Earlier the film was perceived as a sequel to ‘A Wednesday’ but the actress buzzed off those rumors too. Yami also shared how emotional her parents were after watching the film and loved it thoroughly. She looked back on her journey, saying it took her 10 years to get such a role and opportunity and she is looking forward to getting such versatile and challenging roles.
