Yash Raj Films keen to remake DDLJ with Vijay Deverakonda?

If you are a fan of Vijay Deverakonda and a sucker for classic Bollywood romances, please hold your breath, because we have some really great news for you. As per reports, Yash Raj Films is planning to remake the legendary blockbuster hit Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and are keen to cast the Telugu hottie as Raj.
From what we hear, Aditya Chopra is very keen to take the plot of DDLJ and give it a fresh twist for gen-Y viewers. And given Vijay's popularity, his chocolate boy looks and his irresistible charm, he is the front runner for Adi to reprise SRK's iconic Raj.
Notably, on 20 October 2022, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge ticked in 27 years of release. The movie, which stars Shah Rukh Khan as Raj and Kajol as Simran, is considered one of the greatest Bollywood films ever made.
In October last year, Aditya Chopra had announced that he would be directing a DDLJ-inspired Broadway musical titled 'Come Fall In Love – The DDLJ Musical'. It will debut in the Broadway season 2022–2023.
