Ajay Devgn’s Raid crosses the 50 crores mark at the domestic box office!
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film unites Ajay with Ileana for the second time and it also stars Saurabh Shukla.

Ajay Devgn ’s film choices have always helped him to maintain a loyal fan base. Last year he appeared in two completely different films and both of them turned out to be a box office success. And now, his recent film, Raid , is also minting huge figures. The movie is based on a real raid that took place in 1980’s and Ajay is seen playing the role of Income Tax Commissioner. Ajay’s role of IT officer is being loved by the masses and they have garnered their love on the film. Till Monday, Raid was standing strong with 47.27 crores and with the addition of yesterday’s collections; the movie has now crossed the 50 crores mark. On Day 5, i.e. first Tuesday, the film pocketed Rs. 5.76 crores and took the grand total to Rs. 53.03 crores.

The film is currently the fourth highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pad Man. If Raid remains stable in its second week, it might cross Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man to grab the third position in the list. Apart from Ajay, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz , Saurabh Shukla , Sulagna Panigrahi and Pushpa Joshi in pivotal roles. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta , this Friday, the film will face a stiff competition from Rani Mukerji ’ Hichki .
