An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, struggled to draw crowds even on Saturday after debuting at a pitiful Rs 1.31 crore. Early projections indicated that the movie didn't experience a surge in attendance and instead earned between Rs 1.60 and Rs 2 crore on day two before wrapping at just over Rs 3 crore in revenue.
According to an article in Box Office India, there has been a noticeable shift in moviegoers' attendance since the outbreak. The BO numbers over the past few months indicate that a greater audience is now stepping out on weekends. Additionally, it was mentioned that Sunday is when most people go out, therefore An Action Hero may possibly experience an increase in its sales on day three. An Action Hero would be Ayushmann's fifth box office failure after Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Anek, and Doctor G if it doesn't pick up the pace.

However, Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 2, which has already made over Rs 170 crore, keeps outpacing the competition. The Abhishek Pathak-directed film continues to dominate box office even two weeks later. Through positive word of mouth, Varun Dhawan's Bhediya has also been doing a respectable business, bringing in around Rs 4 crore on weekdays. The movie is reported to have had the same average number of viewers on Saturday, but Sunday might bring in more money.
