Nawazudiin Siddiqui ’s recently released film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz has received rave reviews from the audience as well as the critics. The movie is about a raunchy henchman who kills people for money. The film is gritty, dark, and also displays Nawaz’s romantic side. His steamy scenes with actress Bidita Bag have been the talk of the town. The film is made at a tight budget of only 3 crores, as per the reports.
BB raked in Rs.2.05 crores on the opening Friday, Rs. 2.41 crores on Saturday and Rs. 3.07 crores on Sunday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 7.53 crores at the domestic box-office. The movie thus has recovered its costs and is running in profit already. This is indeed a moment of joy for the film team and the producers.
Overwhelmed with the good reviews and box-office collection reports, Nawazuddin took to twitter and expressed his gratitude. “Thank You, Soo much for making a small budget film HIT #BabumoshaiProfitbaaz.” It will not be wrong to say that the film has eventually turned out to be his first solo hit.
Directed by Kushan Nandy , the film also stars Jatin Goswami, Shraddha Das, Anil George, Bhagwan Tiwari, Jeetu Shivhare, Murli Sharma, Divya Dutta and Sachin Chaubey.
