Despite receiving mainly positive reviews, actor Varun Dhawan's most recent film, Bhediya, isn't earning the money it was anticipated to. The creature comedy debuted on Friday to a disappointing Rs 7.48 cr. all India net.
Amar Kaushik's film did not do as well as many in the industry had hoped on its second day, when it was predicted to take in between Rs 9.25 and Rs 9.50 crore net, according to a Box Office India report.
The source stated that a Saturday increase of 35–40% is "acceptable and keeps the film in the race if Sunday can show a solid rise," and that this increase will bring the film's two-day total to roughly Rs 15.50–15.75 crore. Bhediya, in which Kriti Sanon also has a role, needed to develop more quickly to make up for its weak debut, but it is now aiming to gain more ground with Sunday's box office receipts.
According to Taran Adarsh, Bhediya experienced a nearly 43% increase in the national chains as a result of its stronger Saturday number.
While Drishyam 2 continued its remarkable run even in its second weekend, with collections to the tune of Rs 14 crore net, bringing its total to around Rs 125 crore net, Bhediya demonstrated respectable growth.
The Ajay Devgn-starring movie's second weekend would do better than Bhediya's first weekend, which was adversely affected by the Drishyam 2 wave.
