Bank Chor hit the theaters last Friday along with no such major competition. Yet, the film has experienced a bitter downfall at the box-office. Going by its weekend collection, Bank Chor earned 1.40 Cr on Friday, 1.66 Cr on Saturday and 1.28 Cr on Sunday. Therefore, the total first weekend box-office collection stands to 4.34 Cr.
Considering the star cast of Riteish Deshmukh , Vivek Oberoi , and Rhea Chakraborty , Bank Chor was expected to do average business at the box-office. These actors brought the film a star appeal, which its competitor release Phullu lacked. Even its production house did some or the other antics to keep Bank Chor in news. But as seen in the collection, all went into vain. As it is the film was a slow run, while Sunday’s iconic India-Pakistan match further affected its collection.
Directed by Bumpy, film Bank Chor ’s plot is based on a bank robbery which happens on the worst day possible. It is made in the comedy genre.
Next week, it has a major competition arising with Salman Khan’s Tubelight. Therefore, Bank Chor has to earn most of its collection in the span of these weekdays. Stay tuned to BollywoodMDB for more updates on the box-office collection.
