'The Great Indian Family' did not fare well in its first weekend. According to Sacnilk.com, the Vicky Kaushal-starrer grossed around 2 crores nett on day 3 in theatres. 'The Great Indian Family,' starring Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, and Alka Amin, was released on September 22.
The film grossed 1.4 crore nett in India on Friday and 1.72 crore on Saturday, representing an estimated 22.86% rise. However, The Great Indian Family box office collection fell to 2 crores on Sunday, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.com. According to the portal, the film has earned 5.12 crore nett in India thus far.
The family drama, written and directed by 'Dhoom 3's' Vijay Krishna Acharya, centres around Vicky Kaushal's character Bhajan Kumar and his identity problem after receiving a letter claiming he was born a Muslim.

Vicky, who has appeared in films like as 'Masaan', 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', and 'Sardar Udham', also discussed his current film choices in the same interview. 'The Great Indian Family' is his second family entertainer of the year, following 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke', in which he co-stars with Sara Ali Khan. He was previously featured in 'Govinda Naam Mera' (2022) alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar.
